GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller and Marlon Wayans star in this action-packed G.I. Joe adventure, in which Hawk, Ripcord, Heavy Duty and the rest of the elite special mission force set out to stop evil arms dealer Destro (Christopher Eccleston) and his minions. Rounding out the star-studded cast are Brendan Fraser, Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ray Park, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Saïd Taghmaoui and model Karolina Kurkova.
I haven’t seen this one, but my husband and son assure me it’s a good action flick.

Star Trek

Capt. Kirk (Chris Pine) and his trusted team on the starship USS Enterprise boldly go where no man has gone before in this installment of Gene Roddenberry’s sci-fi franchise that follows the early days of the intergalactic adventurers. The crew includes Spock (Zachary Quinto), Chekov (Anton Yelchin), Uhura (Zoe Saldana), Scotty (Simon Pegg) and Sulu (John Cho). Eric Bana co-stars, and Leonard Nimoy appears as an older version of Spock. It was nice to have an update to the original Star Trek series. Let’s hope the sequel has the same cast.


New In TownThe weather isn’t the only drastic change for high-paid consultant Lucy Hill (Renée Zellweger) when she’s sent from her home base in South Beach, Fla., to a small Minnesota town to improve the productivity of a local manufacturing plant. The town’s residents also take some getting used to, especially the ruggedly handsome union boss (Harry Connick Jr.) who’s doing his darnedest to make sure that Lucy doesn’t cut any jobs. And. . . they live happily ever after? Can we see the love story coming a mile away?

Catch the intense original installment of this cultural icon: When organized crime family patriarch Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) barely survives an attempt on his life, his youngest son, Michael (Al Pacino), steps in to take care of the would-be killers, launching a campaign of bloody revenge. Francis Ford Coppola brings Mario Puzo’s multigenerational crime saga to life in this Oscar-winning epic that also spawned Best Actor honors for Brando, who refused the prize for political reasons.

Watch a Mad Men Triple Feature Tonight

Three Mad Men episodes have bottomed out the top five best selling Amazon Videos on Demand. If you’re a fan of the show, catch up on the latest season with a triple feature. If you have yet to check it out, this is the perfect time!

First watch Public Relations, the season 4 premiere. This episode asks the question, “Who is Don Draper?” As Dick Whitman reinvents himself as a divorced man with his own company, he actually creates a new persona.

Next, watch The Good News, which is actually the third episode of the current season. For context, you might want to also check out episode 2, The Good News, which features the company Christmas party. In The Good News, Don makes a quick trip to Acapulco, meanwhile, serious conflict arises between Joan and Lane back at the office.
